Meet Rachel

I'm Rachel Painter - and yes, it's really my surname!

I paint between the wild Cornish coast and the wide skies of Exmoor, chasing the moments when light transforms everything. The familiar becoming breathtaking. That's what I paint, and what I hope these art prints bring to your homes.

Each art print - whether on paper or canvas - begins as an original painting of Cornwall. Reproduced using archival inks on museum-quality materials, each one is made to carry the richness, colour and detail of the original and last a lifetime in your home.

All Cornish art prints are available framed or unframed.

Paper prints: arrive mounted and ready to hang.

Canvas prints: come hand-stretched and, if framed, finished in a floating tray frame with a clean shadow gap.

Both framed options arrive ready for your walls.

Prefer to choose your own frame? Unframed prints are ideal for taking to a local framer or fitting into an existing frame you love.

Absolutely. Many collectors choose these as meaningful gifts for anniversaries and birthdays. You can choose to have the print shipped directly to the recipient too!

Yes, each piece is inspired by real Cornish landscapes that I’ve walked and painted along the coast. Places like Porthtowan, Porthleven, and the Helford River often find their way into my work, maybe not always as literal reproductions, but as expressions of how the light and atmosphere feel in those moments. My paintings begin with walks and sketches capturing the shifting skies and colours that make Cornwall so unforgettable.

Giclée prints, like my prints on paper or canvas, use museum-standard archival pigment inks, giving far greater colour depth, detail and longevity than standard digital prints. Where a regular print might fade within years, a giclée is made to stay vibrant for generations.
