FAQS

A giclée print is the highest standard of art print - the kind you’ll find in museums and galleries.

It’s a fancy French word, “zhee-clay”, it comes from the word “to spray,” because the inks are applied in such fine detail that every brushstroke and colour shift is captured with incredible accuracy.

Here’s what sets a giclée fine art print apart:

  • Museum-quality longevity: Printed with pigment-based inks that don’t fade - they’re tested to stay bold and beautiful for over 100 years.
  • Luxury paper: Thick, velvety cotton rag paper with a subtle texture that feels as gorgeous as it looks.
  • True-to-original colour: Every brushstroke, every glow, every detail - captured with depth and clarity.

In short? A giclée isn’t “just a print.” It’s a fine art print designed to last a lifetime (and then some), a way to bring the beauty of original artwork into your home, in a form that will last for generations!

Every print is made to order, carefully signed and wrapped by me before it heads your way.

Yes! My prints are often bought as birthday, anniversary and wedding gifts - art prints make thoughtful, lasting gifts.

Your order will arrive wrapped and ready to enjoy. You can even have it shipped directly to your recipient, so it’s a surprise waiting at their door!

Yes, my paper prints are released in small, limited runs. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Every print is signed, numbered, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Collectors love this because it means their piece is part of a special, finite collection of limited edition fine art prints.

I do! You can add a handmade FSC-certified wood frame in black, white, or oak. Each frame comes with a soft white mount and shatterproof, UV-protective glazing.

Your framed print arrives fully assembled, ready to hang - no trip to the framers needed!

Think about the wall you’d love to fill:

  • Small prints: work well in cosy corners, gallery walls, or as thoughtful gifts.
  • Medium prints: are versatile - a statement on their own or part of a collection.
  • Large prints: become a focal point, adding real drama and presence to a room.

Tip: If you're unsure, go slightly bigger - art often feels smaller once it's up on the wall!

Tip: Tape out the dimensions on your wall with masking tape - it’s the easiest way to visualise how the artwork will sit in your space.

Meet Rachel

I'm Rachel Painter - yes, it's really my surname. I paint between the wild Cornish coast and the wide skies of Exmoor, chasing the moments when light transforms everything. The familiar becoming breathtaking. That's what I paint - and what I hope finds its way to your home.
