Enys Gardens Bluebells Festival - Spring Art Exhibition & Oil Painting Pop Up Class

Each spring, Cornwall comes alive with carpets of wildflowers, but nothing compares to the Enys Gardens Bluebell Festival 2025. Set within 1,000 acres of ancient woodland, meadows, and historic gardens, Enys is one of Cornwall’s most enchanting places to experience the bluebell season.

At the heart of it all lies Parc Lye, a vast meadow that bursts into a breathtaking sea of vibrant blue — easily the size of a football pitch. It’s a sight that’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring, and one that lingers in your memory long after you’ve left.

This year will be my fifth year exhibiting at the festival, and I’m thrilled to once again share my oil paintings — along with special pop-up painting classes — during this magical celebration of nature and creativity.

What’s On At The Enys Gardens Bluebells Festival 2025

Explore the Gardens

There are footpaths throughout the gardens and wild woodlands - dogs on leads are also welcome too - with plenty to explore:

  • Parc Lye Bluebell Meadow - A vast, breathtaking sea of blue.

  • Walled Flower Gardens - Bursting with seasonal blooms.

  • The Stumpery - A whimsical arrangement of upturned chestnut trees.

  • Orchards, Ponds & Waterwheels - Serene spots to wander and reflect.

Visit the Historic Enys House

Step inside Enys House, rarely open to the public. Its raw, rustic charm - with bare stone walls and exposed beams - provides a striking backdrop for the Spring Art Exhibition, featuring 10 talented Cornish artists.

Enjoy freshly brewed coffee, homemade cakes, and artisanal pizza from local vendors outside the House. The Enys Garden Café also offers delightful treats, fresh pots of tea and baked goods perfect for a mid-exploration pause.

Spring Art Exhibition - Paintings Inspired by Cornwall

This festival holds a special place in my heart. For the fifth year, alongside 10 other Cornish artists, I’ll have a selection of framed original oil paintings capturing Cornwall and scenes from along the South West Coast path. These will be available for purchase, alongside my popular small paintings, limited edition prints and greetings cards.

One of my favourite things about exhibiting at Enys is getting to meet so many wonderful people - whether you’re an art collector, a fellow creative, or simply someone who loves Cornwall. I always enjoy chatting about painting, light, and the inspiration behind my work, so do come and say hello!

“I was fortunate to meet Rachel at her Enys Exhibition. She’s as delightful as her paintings. I love that each painting has a story. The colours she uses and the way she depicts the light makes you feel like you could walk straight into her paintings and never want to leave. It brings me a sense of joy and peace.” — Sarah, Collector

Perfect for those seeking outdoor experiences in nature or looking to try oil painting for the first time.

“What an incredible class - I had never used oil paints before! This was a unique opportunity to ‘play’ with a new medium in a safe, friendly and inspiring environment. I’m new to painting and a little afraid of colour, but I left feeling enthused and excited, and Rachel was able to come round to each of us individually and give us suggestions and feedback.” — Lucinda Roberts

Practical Things For Your Enys Gardens Visit

  • Facilities - There is plenty of parking found at the end of the long drive way. Parking attendants will advise you where best to park. A brand new WC block (with a wheelchair-accessible toilet) has been built near the cafe. Dogs on leads welcome!
  • Practical advice - Footpaths can be accessed by all, but walking boots are advised if you want to venture off the beaten track.
  • Access - Enys Gardens is an old historic garden with old pathways which are not always ideal for wheelchair users.  Many of the pathways are unmade and natural and during wet weather can be muddy and difficult to negotiate in a wheel chair.  Wheelchair users are very welcome but some areas of the gardens may not be as accessible as others, especially the pond area which is very steep.
