For a fleeting moment you're suspended in colour, floating between the sea and sky. This sunset painting, inspired by the Helford River in Cornwall, captures the stillness of twilight as the glassy waters reflect the last of the golden light like a shimmering pathway back to shore.
Each sunset swim beneath the iconic riverside trees has its own drama - the ever-changing light, filled with promise, movement, and hope, is what inspired me to paint this piece as part of my Paved in Light series. I wanted to hold onto that sense of optimism and fleeting beauty flooding the world about me.
