Windswept Love No.7 - Original Oil Painting
At the end of long days, I often retreat to the Helford River, watching the sunset sink below the tree-lined horizon - my secret place of stillness.
This darker, moodier original oil painting evolved as I layered luminous glazes and slabs of paint, and the words began to flow:
"from deep within my heart
welcomes a place long awaited,
a sea of glass to behold
where timidity gives way to boldness
into the dancing of the light"
The sunlight reflecting upon the wet sand became my 'sea of glass', and with each expressive stroke capturing the light, I found myself painting not just a river, but an invitation to simply be still, breathe slowly and let the light dance.
