Hi, I’m Rachel Painter, and for a long time I was an artist in hiding. Until I was asked: “Being and artist is still a dream for you…isn’t it?”
It caught me off guard because it made me see my dream lie dormant as I was caught up doing everything but creating for myself. So I returned to my little box of paints, a little and often at first, and began to fall in love with painting in oils.
Colour became my expression. I began to see the world with new eyes as I played and learnt to express myself with the tools I want to share with you! And one brushstroke at a time I’m here where you see me now - following and making the dream a reality.

What do I need for this course?
This course is all online so you’ll need access to the Internet and a computer/tablet with audio and camera.
Supplies are not included in the price of the course. CLICK HERE to get the supplies list >>
Can I use water mixable oils for this course?
You can! Although I won’t be using them in the course I recommend alternatives on the supplies list if you want to use them.
When does it start?
The next official kick off is 5th September 2022.
How long is the course / do I have access to the content?
The course is 8 weeks in total - 6 modules over 8 weeks with 2 extra ‘pause weeks’ where you have additional time to return to anything you may have missed or enjoy a breather!
After enrolling you have 1 year to access the course content and all updates!
What if I am unhappy with the course?

How are the lessons delivered?
All the modules and course content are available on a platform you’ll be given special access to upon registering.
You’ll also receive an invite to an optional private Facebook group where we can share our work, connect with each other and ask me questions.
When are the weekly live group calls?
Typically every Thursday over Zoom. (I do my best to cater for as many people’s availability with alternating times, but there will also be replays available). You’ll be able to ask me your pressing questions, receive feedback and I can further unpack a specific topic or challenge.
Will you give me personal feedback?
Yes! That’s a special feature of the course. Alongside the weekly zoom calls and Facebook Group I’ll also be offering an optional 30 minute 1-1 towards the end of the course to discuss your progress and where to get next beyond the course.
OVERCOMING ARTIST BLOCK
This course has given me back my confidence! Before I felt stuck, I had unfinished paintings I didn’t know how to move forward with, and felt I was fussing over details while losing the freedom and expression I used to have. I really enjoyed the freedom exercises, and using new techniques and materials. Rachel gave me really useful feedback on how to improve my paintings, while still encouraging me to maintain my own style.
